Providence Preservation Society teamed up the Dorcas International Institute of Rhode Island and Heritage Restoration Inc to run an annual Window and Workforce Training Program. We’ll learn more about this program and have the opportunity to visit Heritage Restoration’s shop during the 2023 convening. Photo credit: Providence Preservation Society
2023 Spring Retreat/Historic American Trades Summit
June 12-14
Providence, RI
This year for our Spring Retreat, NPPN is partnering with The Campaign for Historic Trades at the American Historic Trades Summit, in Providence, RI, June 12-14.
For the last two years, NPPN has collaborated with the National Trust for Historic Preservation and professionals from across the country on the Preservation Priorities Task Force (PPTF). Given that one of the four priorities is Preservation Trades and Workforce Development, The American Historic Trades Summit is the perfect opportunity to learn about The Campaign’s efforts, share PPTF outcomes, network, learn about trades curriculum development, messaging, employer perspectives, and more.
Not just for organizations who already have trades training programs, the Summit is designed to develop a network of trades training programs and share bests practices and resources for how to start, support, and sustain trades training programs.
Looking for more content about managing a preservation nonprofit or specific resource topics? Check out NPPN’s line-up of webinars, affinity groups, historic property redevelopment programs, and other resources available here. We also will get together in-person at PastForward in Washington, D.C., Nov 8-10, 2023.
